About
Lori Elliott, Hon.B.Soc.Sc. Crim., Con.B.Soc.Sc. Psych., M.S.W., R.S.W.
I've been a mental health professional since 2007, working in healthcare settings across Ontario. In 2016, I started my education in the field of First Responder and Healthcare Professional clinical care and have since received various certificates including Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical-Behaviour Therapy and the full Trauma Response certificate through CTRI. My Trauma Response certificate included eight courses and some of these reflected Grief Processing, Critical Incident Group Debrief leadership, facilitation of mass trauma response and Somatic Therapy. I'm also an approved Cognitive Processing Therapy provider, which is the #1 therapy model to assist First Responders with processing trauma. I was the mental health Grey Bruce media consultant throughout the pandemic and examples of my published articles may be viewed in the blog section of this website.
